Fashion for Everyone
ABOUT
Fashion for Everyone
We decided to dig deep into fashion about the social history of gender justice movements among three different regions: United States, Africa, and Asia. Gender is defined through the clothing people are wearing throughout our social movement. In this case, fashion is being used to deconstruct the ideas of stereotypical clothing that each gender should wear. This social movement was created to deconstruct the concept that there is a gender binary and change into one of gender-neutrality. The movement removes the stereotypes in their clothing. Gender is an equal basis to include all people despite being rich, poor, transgender identity, gay or lesbian, different race, and/or part of the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the gallery, we want you to pay attention to how fashion expresses gender and how we can change the gender norms through the eyes of fashion.
